RISC User DTP articles ====================== This directory contains a set of thirteen articles which appeared in RISC User magazine, volumes 11 and 12. The articles concern various aspects of desktop publishing using Ovation Pro, and were all written by Richard Hallas. Contents ======== The articles are provided in two formats, as follows: 1. Published --------- These articles appear exactly as they were printed in RISC User. Note that they require a number of commercial fonts in order to be viewed correctly. The main fonts required are Monotype Arial and Monotype Times New Roman, available from LOOKsystems, and Swiss Monospaced from the Electronic Font Foundry. However, individual articles may require a handful off additional fonts from EFF and LOOKsystems. 2. ROMfonts -------- These are the same articles, but reformatted to use only the RISC OS ROM-based fonts, Trinity, Homerton and Corpus. These articles can therefore be viewed by all users, but note that the layouts are much less carefully presented than in the published versions of the articles. Because of font size differences, the text flow is quite different than in the published versions. Although the text has been adjusted slightly to fill the pages of the articles correctly, no attempt has been made to avoid occurrences of widows, orphans and other typographical shortcomings. These articles are therefore provided for the information they contain, rather than as examples of printable-quality layouts.
