Mincemeat

4 x Bramley apple
1 x lemon
1 x Valencia (large, sweet) orange

Peel and core apples, cut into small pieces and put in a pan.
Add touch of water and start to boil
Extract juice from oranges and lemons, boil, then add to apples.
Add sugar to taste
Let mixture cool
Add vegetable suet
Add brandy
Add dried fruit - cherries, sultanas, raisins, dates
Leave overnight
Put in jars
